The ridges are inspired directly by ancient terracotta olive oil storage jars, originally designed to help prevent insects from getting inside. Multiple glazes are applied liberally and spontaneously, allowing the biscuity ceramic to shine through and giving each piece a genuine, tactile feel. They’re heavier than they look, making them wonderfully sturdy.
